As the Rolls Royce whisked them away from the church after the ceremony, Grady turned to Amanda and told her that his favorite part of the day so far was when they said their vows to each other. He had been waiting so long to say them, and he couldn’t believe the moment was actually happening. He continued on about how he loved weddings, how they brought people together, and how they brought out so much love in people; he wished they could do this all the time, and that people would say “I love you” more often. (Yes ladies……swoon!)
I joke sometimes with the groom, telling him, “You married up!” But this time? This time they both married up. They elevate each other in a beautiful way. The loving stares they gave each other all day long. The endless “I love you’s” mouthed to one another when they thought no one was looking. The way you know they would both do anything for each other and take care of each other forever.
Their day was beautiful, and not just because of the gorgeous details of this black tie affair, but because of the beauty of their love for each other and for the family and friends they shared their special day with.
Amanda got ready at the Elkridge Club in a beautiful room with lots of natural light. And her Monique Lhuillier lace dress? Classy and beautiful, perfectly fitting for the bride.
Amanda ordered a watch from their jeweler in NYC to gift to Grady on their wedding day, but since it hadn’t arrived in time for the wedding, he so kindly loaned her these diamond earrings and necklace to wear on her big day! (Is this reading like a fairy tale to anyone else but me??) And these Oscar de la Renta heels were the perfect classic complement to her gown.
Amanda surrounded by her beautiful bridesmaids, who were all so incredibly sweet and lovely.
Kendell shows Amanda’s mom the diamond and pearl earrings wedding gift from Grady.
While Amanda and here girls were getting ready at Elkridge, Grady and the guys had a great time getting ready at the Four Seasons Baltimore.
I always love when a couple chooses to do a first look! And I love this moment between Grady and Amanda…
Choosing to see each other before the ceremony gave us plenty of time for some great portraits!
I could have photographed these two all. day. long…
Sharing a glance as her dad walks her down the aisle…
Grady’s father was his best man, and I love how fondly he looks at his son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
Diana of Eventi Planning made sure every detail was perfect and nothing was overlooked so that the day flowed flawlessly.
Each lady had a pashmina shawl draped over her chair for the cooler evening that settled in. And the guys? They had a bourbon bar to warm them up.
These two? They were like Fred and Ginger on the dance floor and danced the night away with each other and with their friends.
The energy of Infusion from Washington Talent Agency kept the floor packed all night long!
Amanda and Grady, THANK YOU for asking me to be a part of your beautiful day. I hope you had an amazing honeymoon in Bali and I can’t wait to catch up with the two of you soon! xo
