A week ago fashion stylist April Yvonne of MyDCStyle asked me to join her during the taping of her fashion segment with Angie Goff of NBC Washington. She pulled looks from Saks Fifth Avenue Tyson’s Galleria to share her expertise on Inaugural Ball fashion, showcasing labels including Badgley Mishka, BCBG Max Azria, Tadashi Shoji, and David Meister. All of the amazing heels, except one pair by Christian Louboutin, came from designer Jimmy Choo. I loved watching April in her comfort zone (and may or may not have been jealous of the models wearing these incredible pieces – especially being 39 weeks pregnant!). I’m also incredibly excited to announce that April has been chosen as resident stylist at Capella, the new luxury hotel in Georgetown!
After the taping of her fashion segment I took a few headshots of the girls. Then April, Charlitta (a producer at NBC Washington) and I enjoyed a delicious lunch and wonderful conversation at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown, who so graciously hosted this taping.
