Their engagement session fell exactly one year after Carlos proposed to Dallas at Bluemont Vineyard. While enjoying the wines and beautiful scenery with great friends, Carlos arranged to have one of the staff bring a “special” dessert menu to Dallas. Excited to see the new desserts being offered, Dallas opened the menu to find one of her favorite photos of the two of them with a note that read, “I love my life because it gave me you; I love you because you are my life.” With tears in her eyes, she turned to find Carlos on one knee, holding a ring in his outstretched hand.
When I met up with Dallas and Carlos they were enjoying a glass of wine together. They had arrived early to relax at the site of their engagement, not having had a chance to go back since that day Carlos asked her to marry him. It was the perfect evening with amazing weather and sweeping views of the valley. I loved spending time with these two – they were like old friends I had known for years. So sweet, kind, fun and easygoing. And I’m beyond excited for their wedding this September at Salamander Resort in Middleburg!
