They met in a college age group at Centreville Baptist Church, and their first date followed in January of 2013. Micheal proposed that November with an amethyst ring. In lieu of a diamond he donated the money to the American Cancer Society in honor of Brianna, who had had surgery to remove a fist-sized brain tumor when she was only 6 years old. Their wedding date was 18 years to the day of that surgery, and they were excited to become the first couple to wed in the newly built sanctuary at CBC. The day was rainy and chilly, but the weather didn’t dampen Brianna or Micheal’s spirits. Despite the elements, this couple had their fairytale happily-ever-after.
