Newton White Mansion Wedding: Erin + Chuq

It had been raining all morning, but that wasn’t enough to dampen Erin’s spirits as she got ready at the Westin in National Harbor.  She knew that no matter the weather, it was going to be a great day.  Calm and relaxed, she dressed with the help of her mom and sister-in-law with plenty of time to spare.  As if switching roles, the groom and groomsmen got ready in a flurry of activity in their room at Aloft.  And as if on cue, the rain broke, and we had time to do all of the portraits outside.

Erin and Chuq chose to do a first look so we could do all of their portraits before heading to Newton White for the ceremony and reception, and this first look quickly became my all time favorite!  You’ll see why…

And the first look…

Thank you, Erin and Chuq, for allowing me to be a part of your day!  I loved how fun you two were to be around, and loved the affection you showed for one another.  xo

Erin Yang - I know everyone likes to see photos of the bride, but you took amazing pictures of my incredibly handsome husband. Thank you Laurie – you made our day so special, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the photos! Thank you!

Megan - Those red and pink tones in the shoes and flowers are a stunning contrast to the muted white of the dress and the sky. Everything about these images is stunning! As always, I’m addicted to your work, Laurie!

MB - Laurie, these are absolutely gorgeous!!! The overcast skies sure do provide for some stunning diffused light!!! Love their sweet emotions and that can absolutely tell how in love they are. How lucky are to have you photograph their love story!
