Georgetown Engagement Session: Kristen + Alex

“I found someone who looks like your type,” Kristen’s friend told her.  But it was almost 3 a.m., and Kristen was sitting quietly in the corner of the bar, waiting for her friends to be ready to leave.  She wasn’t interested in meeting someone right then, in a city that she was only visiting for a couple of days.  Alex was also only in Chicago for a few days, but their worlds collided that night.

Without Kristen’s consent, her friend told Alex that Kristen wanted to buy him a drink.  Alex, being the gentleman that he is, bought Kristen a drink instead.  They had an instant connection, and what followed was a long distance getting-to-know-you, with both unsure of whether or not a relationship could really work since they couldn’t hang out in person.  After Kristen questioned it one night, without hesitation Alex booked a flight to see her, and that visit solidified the start of their dating relationship.

For the past 2 years they dated long distance, flying to each other’s cities almost every weekend to spend time with one another.  But, finally, Alex has moved here permanently, and now they get to start their lives together, both literally and figuratively as they plan for their wedding in June!

Since they both just moved to DC, Georgetown was the perfect location for their engagement session…

Kristen and Alex, I had the best time getting to know you both!  You are absolute sweethearts and I can see why you fell for each other.  I am SO excited for your Annapolis wedding in June!! xo
